This cuirass is based on sculptural depictions of armoured Emperors and high-ranking officers. Roman anatomical cuirasses differ from their Greek progenitors in the treatment of closures, the relatively small size of arm and neck openings, and in subtle differences in the perception of ideal musculature. Many Roman cuirasses are also profusely decorated, and some extend deeply toward the groin, which are features not shown on the model pictured but are available. Our cuirass is also available in low-zinc brass, with silver trim, with pteryges, with moulded edge trim, etc.
