This mail shirt is crafted from rings of aluminum; a material that makes for a considerably lightweight – a good choice for those who want less weight bearing on their body for a long day of reenactment, costume or faire.

It is intricately HANDMADE from butted 16 gauge aluminium rings, each with a diameter of approx. 10 mm. It is this feature of being butted that makes it affordable and hence, popular in LARP, Renaissance fair and other medieval events.
 

Handmade from dome riveted 16 gauge round rings, each with a diameter of approx. 10 mm, it is a good piece of chainmail armour. The mail looks like real armour but without the strongest of real chainmail. That’s why it is especially popular in LARP, ren fair and in MOVIE PROP and THEATRE COSTUME.
