These leather Mitten Gauntlets are backed with 18 gauge thick mild steel mail, Oiled mail to prevent rusting. Provides solid hand protection and good gripping capabilities. one size

These chainmail mitten gauntlets are made from mail rings which are stitched onto a padded gambeson gauntlet to give its wearer protection from cuts and concussive impact alike. The mild steel rings are 18 gauge in thickness and have an internal diameter of 8mm. Half of the flat rings are riveted and these alternate with solid flat rings. The arming mitten itself is of thick, quilted cotton which is padded on the inside with organic cotton. The underside of the hands is lined with quality, supple leather for ease of movement and grip.
