This Roman Gallic I Acquinicum helm is crafted from 18 gauge brass. The cheekplates are hinged and the helm has a tall and notched central crest or plume holder – the helm has a small brass loop and a small central open cylinder on its back that can be used to aid in securing and stabilizing a crest. In addition to this the sides of the helm have a pair of small, open-cylinder plume holders.
The interior of the helm is blackened and unlined; a pair of small rings on the cheekplates can be used to tie a chin strap onto the helm (a leather tie chin strap is included). Also included with the helm is a cotton padded arming cap.
